The University of South Australia’s Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Bridging and Re-entry) is designed for registered nurses who already hold an overseas degree in nursing and previously registered Australian nurses wishing to re-enter the workforce.
This program includes a blend of on-campus lectures, workshops and experiential practicums, and covers a variety of theory and practice topics. Our state-of-the-art simulated hospital and health services integrate with the virtual community of Horizon, providing our students with the opportunity to experience practice in a variety of multimedia high-tech settings.
The program also includes an eight-week supervised clinical placement in a health care setting, allowing students to develop their clinical practice to the level required to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
Graduates of the program satisfy the academic requirements for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. The requirements for registration are determined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
