The Graduate Diploma in Information Management (Library & Information Management) is the only program of its kind in South Australia preparing graduates for careers as Knowledge and Information Management Officers and Librarians.
Students will have the opportunity to access the most recent practical applications of theory in this field, as well as being given the opportunity to participate in a practical field work project and a four week placement within a library. This program is designed to provide you with a professionally recognised qualification in Information Management and has been developed in conjunction with the State Records of South Australia and the State Library of South Australia. On successful completion of this program graduates may be eligible to apply for entry into the Master of Information Management.
In 2015, 97 per cent of our University’s research had been assessed at a world-class standard or above by the Excellence in Research for Australia ratings which included the fields of artificial intelligence and image processing, disrupted computing and information systems.
This program is professionally accredited by Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia.
This program is recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Students must fulfil a fieldwork placement in the library and information sector for a period of 4 weeks or equivalent.
